To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and in response to the change that all the classes during Fall semester will be conducted online, the library services have been changed as follows.
Please note that we may additionally change the library services and conditions in response to the government or the university-wide decision.
■Entry Reservation (User limited)
Rikkyo Libraries have been providing the specific services with the entry reservation system for Rikkyo students and faculty members only.
Please note that those who are not subjected for reserved entry cannot be accepted to enter. We would appreciate your understanding and patience.
About Entry to Campus and University Reception Services (Updated Oct.20)
■Due Dates of Loans
As of Thu. 17 Sept. 2020, all books and materials with due dates between Tue. 27 Feb. 2020 and Wed. 16 Dec. 2020 have been renewed to Thu. 17 Dec. 2020.
※If the deadline is extended again due to circumstances, the announcement will be posted on the library website.
The deadline Dec 17 for the return of materials will no longer be extended.
It would be much appreciated if you could return the materials as soon as possible as there are a number of requests for these materials from other users. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.
■Returning Library Items
As mentioned above, the due dates have been renewed to Thu. 17 Dec. 2020 for the items of the due dates between Thu. 27 Feb. 2020 and Wed. 16 Dec. 2020. You do not have to make a reservation of entry to the library just to return the materials.
Please return the borrowing books and materials to the library as early as possible, in case that the reservation of next person for them has been made or the use of them has been ended.
Please note that the book return post is installed in front of the library gate at both Ikebukuro and Niiza campus. When you come to school for classes, please return books and materials to the book return post without any entry reservation. Howeber, AV materials can only be returned at the counter of the both libraries.
The materials you have borrowed can be returned by mail or courier services for the time being. (The shipping fee is on you.)

■Resume of ILL Services (*excluding issue and usage for the letter of introduction to other libraries)
ILL Services has been resuming. Due to the small number of operating staffs as preventing from infection, it is expected that the arrival of materials will be delayed or canceled depending on the situation of the requesting libraries and institutions. If the neighbor libraries treating the ILL services are out of service, the cost may be higher than normal time. Thank you for your understanding in advance.
■CLOSED for Visitors
The usage and entry for the visitors including from our partner institutions will remain CLOSED for the time being. We also suspend the acceptance of the library tour or inspection. We would appreciate your understanding.
